Primitive Decor

These pieces will surely retain their value and beauty for years to come. Many of the redware found today is made in America by "local" craftsmen that have spent years perfecting their lost art. These items are still handmade to this day and each piece is "one of a kind".

Other wonderful primitive pieces include redware and pewter. With the use of modern constructing techniques these reproductions are both comfortable and beautiful. Large distressed tables and hutches are more the norm then the exception along with wingback style chairs and rope beds. These pieces are actually handcrafted reproductions that are made to closely resemble and function like 18th century furniture. This is simply not the right way to think of primitive decor.

Often when people think of "primitives" they conjure up images of timber furniture covered in tacky finishes. If you are looking for a truly unique way to separate your home from friends and neighbors then this could be the decor for you. With roots dating back to early American lifestyles it is a wonderful and enchanting theme that works in todays homes just as well as it did then. Primitive decor is often forgotten about in the world of interior decorating.
